Fast Clip Design & UX: Video sites using Sticky or Float Video
This essay is intended to compile a number of known (and perhaps unknown innovative sites) that have included a “sticky video” experience, which can be also be understood as a floating video — the video element persists in the screen at the same time that the user is allowed to navigate, such as to scroll.

How to Create a “Sticky” Floating Video on Page Scroll
They say
“If you have found yourself browsing media websites recently–video streaming services, news websites, Facebook and so on–you might have noticed a trend regarding their video players. If we scroll down a page where a video is present, it will float and shrink the player, sticking it to the side of the viewport instead of losing it from view.
This allows the users to keep an eye on the video, whilst looking through the other content at the same time.” https://webdesign.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-create-a-sticky-floating-video-on-page-scroll--cms-28342

Business Lesson Parenthesis: the discovery of the “sticky video bar” term
I took time to understand an experience that was already known in the web — it was in front of me but I had to go through 7–10 days of development before seeing it. The idea of the “sticky video” or the expression (search) term “sticky video bar” only came out in my mind because of prior problem I had to solve: How to maintain a video in the screen at the same time allow the the user to watch simultaneous content (slides in our case). The whole work of “discovery” is here:
After the above work, the term for the method entitled “sticky bar” was blended with “video” so it allowed me to, today, have the “light” and finally type in Google “Sticky video bar” just to discover a whole world such as:

Lessons Learned
- Design efforts, such as the work (including code) of UX that considered widening allowed the discovery / visualization;
- On the other hand, prior storytelling would be enough, so we need to be better in considering strong storytelling enable expressions, mocks, terms to come into existence to influence our research aside from code.
